If you plan to spend less time in kitchen with great meal do consider this zero fumes cooking dish. The 1234 is referring to gradual increase amount of ingredients used in braising sauce; 1 wine, 2 vinegar, 3 sugar and 4 soya sauce. Once the ribs are tender make sure to cook further till sauce thicken as this will give flavourful and sticky sweet ribs. Hope you like it. Happy cooking!

1kg pork ribs (about 4cm length cut)
4 pips garlic
4 slices ginger
1 tablespoon cooking wine
2 tablespoons black vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoon soya sauce
1. Bring a pot of water to boil. Put in ribs and blanch for about 5 minutes. Drain and wash with tap water till clean.
2. Put in clean ribs in cooking pot together with garlic, ginger slices, 1234 sauce and water. Cook over high heat. Once boiled, reduce to low heat, continue to braise for about 1 hour with lid on (check from time to time and stir the ribs).
3. Once the meat is fork tendered, turn on to high heat. Cook further with lid off to thicken the sauce. It takes about 15 minutes. Dish out and enjoy!
